As President and Chief Executive Officer for The Olin Group, Inc., Anne Olin works to strengthen collaborations between the public, private, and philanthropic sectors; secure institutional funding for community-based organizations; foster and incubate regional initiatives; and support the planning needs of nonprofit leadership. Her vision is a sustainable nonprofit sector that helps communities solve problems, not just manage them.
 
Anne founded The Olin Group, Inc. in 2002 to strengthen nonprofit businesses in Southern California. Since that time, she and her growing team have helped deepen the capacity of myriad organizations through services related to evaluation; grant strategy, design, and production; marketing, branding, and communication; philanthropy; and planning, assessment facilitation.
 
In addition to serving nonprofits, foundations, and public agencies through The Olin Group, Inc., Anne also has served in a leadership capacity for The Nicholas Endowment, the Orange County Funders Roundtable, and the Orange County Shared Spaces Foundation, the latter which established the first multi-tenant nonprofit center in Orange County, The Village at 17th Street, whose relational and programmatic well-being is managed by The Olin Group, Inc. She also served as pro bono Executive Director of Charitable Ventures of Orange County, a nonprofit fiscal sponsor that incubates regional initiatives, and for which she currently serves as Board Chair. Finally, she currently serves as an advisory Board Member with the Swayne Family Foundation.
 
Anne holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from University of California, Irvine and a Master of Arts degree in American History with an emphasis in immigration policy from Claremont Graduate University and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Sigma Alpha national societies



Emerson Olin

As Chief Operating Officer with The Olin Group, Inc., Emerson Olin develops and directs policies, protocols, and activities related to all corporate functional areas including: Finance and Accounting; Information Technology and Network Administration; Contracts, Production, and Invoicing; Human Resources and Payroll Administration; Facility Management and Vendor Relations; and Corporate Communications.
 
Prior to his position with The Olin Group, Emerson worked in education, including tenures as a high school instructor and as a curriculum developer for high-school and college-level textbooks and corporate training programs.
 
Emerson holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from University of California, Irvine, a Master of Arts degree in Communications Management from the University of Southern California, and a California Single Subject teaching credential from Alliant International University.



Carole Mintzer
Evaluator

As an Evaluator for The Olin Group, Inc., Carole Mintzer participates in the development of evaluation plans and reports, creation of data collection protocols and survey instruments, data analysis and research, creating and working with logic models and theories of change, GIS mapping and other data analysis programs, supporting evaluation for federal grants, and regional needs assessments.
 
Carole has worked in the field of evaluation since the 1990s, and is the former Evaluation Manager for the Children and Families Commission of Orange County. Most recently, Carole designed evaluation plans for several Orange County service providers, including the Early Developmental Service Programs at CHOC and UCI Medical Center, the Rancho Santiago Community College District’s Child Development Program, Pretend City Children’s Museum, and the Pacific Symphony. She served as editor of the Annual Report on the Conditions of Children in Orange County which provides data on the health, education, and well-being of Orange County’s children. She also worked in the office of Quality Management at the Health Care Agency, where she helped developed a collaborative approach to care for children with serious emotional and behavioral disturbances. Finally, she taught Program Evaluation at California State University, Fullerton.
 
Carole holds a Bachelor of Science degree from The University of Michigan and a Master of Public Administration degree from The University of Arizona.



Mark Mendoza

As Graphic Designer for The Olin Group, Inc., Mark Mendoza prepares visual presentations by designing art and copy layouts. He interpret our clients’ needs and then designs solutions that meet those needs, but that also deftly offer alternative approaches with high visual impact. He works on annual reports, brochures, case statements, flyers, infographics, logos, marketing, branding, and communication assessments, videos, and websites.
 
Mark has been a graphic designer/illustrator in Orange County since the 1980s, first developing his expertise in graphic design, illustration, photo retouching, and production at ReichesBaird. In 1995, Mark founded the AdGyld, a full service graphic design company serving a variety of private companies, state and county agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
 
Mark holds a Bachelor of Arts in Illustration from Cal State University at Fullerton.



Kristine Pulizzotto

As Office Administrator for The Olin Group, Inc., Kristine Pulizzotto provides executive and operational support to the firm and to The Village at 17th Street, the only Orange County non-profit shared spaces facility. In this capacity, Kristine ensures the efficacy, integrity, and harmony of the company’s office environment. This activity includes providing administrative assistance, clerical support, and customer service across all of the company’s corporate functional areas: contracts, communications, executive assistance, facilities, finances, human resources, information technology, and production.
 
Kristine grew up in Orange County and has more than 25 years of corporate administrative experience. Her non-profit experience began in 1999 while working with government, educational, environmental agencies in Carson City, Nevada. This experience led to her role as Director of Operations with the Brewery Arts Center and the local arts council.
 
Upon her return to Orange County, she gained her certification as a medical assistant and phlebotomist. She now enjoys contributing to the success of an organization that provides vital support to so many worthy nonprofits.



Jacqueline “Jackie” Tran
Evaluator
 
As an Evaluator for The Olin Group, Inc., Jacqueline “Jackie” Tran participates in the development of evaluation plans and reports, creation of data collection protocols and survey instruments, data analysis and research, creating and working with logic models and theories of change, GIS mapping and other data analysis programs, supporting evaluation for federal grants, and regional needs assessments.
 
In addition to her work with The Olin Group, Inc., Jackie works in the field of public health with nonprofit organizations. Her interests focus on access to care, health disparities, cancer health disparities, and working with diverse communities in a culturally and linguistically appropriate manner. In particular, her research has focused on community based and community engaged research and its role in capacity building and sustainability for community-based organizations. Her experience includes working with boards and advisory/steering committees to develop leadership skills, team consensus processes and guiding principles, and succession planning. She has served on the Board of Directors of local nonprofits and as an Advisory or Steering Committee member for various nonprofits throughout the state of California, providing leadership and support to the Board and executive management team. She currently serves on the Institutional Review Board (IRB) for Special Service for Groups (SSG) and the Association of Asian Pacific Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO). She also served as the Director of Health Programs at the Orange County Asian and Pacific Islander Community Alliance (OCAPICA).
 
Jackie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in General Biology and Asian American Studies, a Master of Public Health degree in Health Services, and a Doctorate of Public Health degree in Health Management and Policy, all from UCLA.

Prior to her position with The Olin Group, Inc., Cara served as a Teaching Associate in UC Irvine’s Humanities Department, a Teaching Assistant in UC Irvine’s Composition and Literature Department, and Academic Secretary/Data Entry Analyst/Mailroom Clerk at Biola University.
 
Cara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and Language Literature from Biola University and a Master of Arts degree in Literature from University of California, Irvine.

As Project Manager for The Olin Group, Inc., Kelly Gold plans, directs, and coordinates project activities to ensure that production goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters. In addition, Kelly provides research, writing, editing, and design services within a collaborative team working environment, across all of the company’s service lines.
 
Prior to her position at The Olin Group, Inc., Kelly served as Regional Fundraising Chair for Education First, Interim Evaluation Associate for the Global Fund for Women, Program Officer for the Sydney Community Foundation, Program Officer for the Russell Sage Foundation, Coordinator for the Social Science Research Council, and Research Assistant for the American Institutes for Research.
 
Kelly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and a Master of Science degree in Nonprofit/NGO Leadership, both from the University of Pennsylvania.

Prior to her position at The Olin Group, Inc., Tania served as Research Advisor, Founding Director, Global Learning Community Director, and Assistant Coordinator at Chab Dai International and Overseas Associate at World Horizons.

As Director of Evaluation and Assessment (DEA) for The Olin Group, Inc., Paul Bonfanti participates in and manages evaluation projects on behalf of the company. Key areas of focus include: development of evaluation plans and reports, creation of data collection protocols and survey instruments, data analysis and research, and creation of development and organizational assessments. The DEA creates and works with logic models and theories of change, GIS mapping, and other data analysis programs, supporting evaluation for federal grants, and regional needs assessments. The DEA engages with clients, manages evaluation teams, and trains both clients and internal staff on tool creation and usage. To support all of these activities, the DEA works collaboratively with internal and external staff members. Paul also teaches Analysis and Research and Effective Nonprofit Management for Villanova University’s Master of Public Administration Program.
 
Prior to his current position, Paul served as Director of Policy and Planning Analysis at Villanova University and Senior Project Manager for Strategic Initiatives at the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society.
 
Paul holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Drew University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Villanova University.




Ann Levine

As Director of Grants and Planning (DGP) for The Olin Group, Inc., Ann Levine provides strategic direction for client development efforts, especially as they relate to the company’s Grant Strategy, Design, and Production service line, although this direction at times extends to other service lines as well. Areas of activity include grant strategy and program design, market analysis and fund research, grant writing and proposal development, sustainability and financial scenario planning, development and organizational assessments, and board development and facilitation. The DGP assumes both managerial oversight of employees and functions as a company liaison for clients and other stakeholders. The DGP also works internally to improve the company’s operational efficiencies and protocols, as well as externally to pursue new business opportunities, conduct trainings and presentations on behalf of the sector, and advocate for the sectors in which the company works.
 
Prior to her current position, Ann served as Director of Philanthropy for LifeWire, Executive Director for Imagine Housing & Red Vines 1, Community Building Coordinator for the Seattle Housing Authority, Community Impact Process Owner for United Way of Sonoma-Mendocino-Lake, and Co-Director/Senior Attorney for LFSV Mental Health Advocacy Project.
 
Ann holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of California, Los Angeles and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law.

As Operations Manager for The Olin Group, Inc., Andrew Fahmy manages and/or supports the implementation of company policies, procedures, and daily operations in the areas of contracts, production, invoices, organizational documents and processes, facility management and vendor relations, and communications. As FaCT Coordinator, Andrew ensures that the company fulfills its requirements under the FaCT Network Administrative Services (FNAS) County of Orange contract. In this position, he provides coordination and oversight of activities associated with this county program, including administrative duties, fund and resource development, marketing, planning and development, training, and translation.
 
Prior to his current position, Andrew served as the Southern California Area Manager for IncrediFlix, Inc. and Resident Services Coordinator for Jamboree Housing.

Prior to her current position, Dana served as Assistant Director of the Housing Initiative Program and THRIVE Program Coordinator/Financial Coach, both at Easter Seals of Greater Houston.

As Evaluation and Data Associate for The Olin Group, Inc., Mindy Friedman provides research, analysis, writing, editing, and planning services for the company’s Evaluation and Needs Assessment service line. Working both collaboratively and independently, Mindy performs a variety of duties, including participating in staff and client strategic development meetings, disseminating project information to project stakeholders, monitoring and supporting the achievement of project activities, arranging logistics for meetings, conferences, trainings, and other project-related events, preparing meeting materials, including reports, presentations, agendas, and other collateral, and gathering, inputting and analyzing data. Finally, Mindy ensures that production goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frames and funding parameters.
 
Prior to her current position, Mindy served as Planning & Projects Director for Strategy Advantage and Staff Attorney/Equal Justice Works Fellow for New York Lawyers for the Public Interest.
 
Mindy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of California, Berkeley, a Juris Doctor degree from New York University, and Master of Public Health degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
